Meditation – Day 13

Ease urgencies!

Today, I decided to try the app Let’s Meditate. Even though the sound quality isn’t as good as the apps Headspace and Calm I liked it very much.

I felt like smiling and I was able to visualize almost everything the female voice talked about. I almost felt the wind on my face and body as well as the sun and the moon.

This app has meditations for different purposes and since I decided to meditate at least 10 minutes each day I chose the Ease Urgencies meditations because it has exactly 10 minutes and because it appealed to me. There are shorter and longer ones to choose from.

I started sitting down but at some point I decided to lay down on my bed. I have come to realize that sometimes It feels goods to sit down but other times I just need to lie down. Maybe because today I felt tired.

I was able to relax and that is probably the reason I could enjoy the practice almost completely.

It is amazing how 13 straight days of doing something can give us newer and better experiences.

However, it is still very early to say that I am meditating but I just don’t feel so stressed and restless when I do it. Now, I am able to relax faster and more deeply than before.

There is still a long way to go, specially because I believe that meditation can bring new experiences even after years of practice.

It is a journey, not a race.

For now I will practice meditation everyday, for at least 10 minutes and see where it takes me.
