[irp]What an amazing woman. Florence Nightingale was a British nurse that lived in the Nineteenth Century. She rebelled against the Status Quo and decided to become a Nurse to help the poor and improve medical care.

She created her own Nursing School that is now part of London’s King’s College.

With the statement “I never gave or took any excuse” she clearly states one of the main reasons people don’t reach their goals. Excuses are a cancer in today’s society. There was never a better time to take risks, a better time for women to reach for the stars, a better time to become what we want in life.

But we are used to finding excuses everywhere. I am too young or I am too old, I’m not an expert, I am cold or the weather is too hot.

So, I say “Death to excuses”

If you find yourself thinking or voicing an excuse, write it down for future reference but do just the opposite.

Today, there are people starting over well over their seventies or going to college in their eighties, people who adopt children just because, people who walk again after their doctor told them they couldn’t because of some accident.

If there is something on your mind, a goal you have wanted for so long, just do it, find a way and mostly find a reason to do it and stop with the excuses.

You will be happier for it.
