Meditation – Day 2
My second session of meditation finally arrived. Today, I sat down on my bed, closed my eyes, crossed my legs and put my hands on my lap.
Since this isn’t a position I am used to, I started feeling back pains soon after and I had to put my hands on my knees, in Lotus position.
I began by concentrating on my breath and tried to calm down. I could hear my little girl singing and playing next door as well as the washing machine but, other than that, it was quiet.
However, I could feel my heart racing so I tried to calm down using deep breaths and eventually I started to calm down and my head became clear.
I lasted 8 minute meditating. Yeahhh!!!
Two more minutes than on Day 1 🙂
I never thought that 10 minutes could take so long 🙂

I dare say that it is difficult not to have great expectations about meditation, because in truth I do have them. But, for now I just hope I can become calmer and less anxious.
I don’t expect it to happen overnight so I will just keep doing this one day at a time and see where it takes me Day 3.
Until tomorrow,
What position do you prefer for your practice?
