Meditation – Day 3
6 minutes!
I thought this time I would meditate longer but someone cheated me out of my session when they interrupted me. So, that’s all I could manage today. However, the session wasn’t going so well because I had a full stomach.
Now I know why eating well and meditate don’t go hand in hand. No wonder monks like to meditate with empty stomachs. I think I will meditate tomorrow first thing in the morning.
This time I sat down on my bed on top of a pillow in Lotus position from the start. But like I sad my belly was full and my head as well.
I could feel the tension behind my eyes but I couldn’t let it go. Even concentrating on my breath seemed hard to do.
So, when my husband and daughter called me I almost felt relieved. But don’t think for a minute that I gave up. There is a long road ahead, at least 27 days more. But my wish is to carry out meditation on a day-to-day basis, turn it into a habit.
Studies say that meditation can help us in many ways:
- Focus
- Immunity
- Emotional well-being
- Healthier body

Who doesn’t want to feel better? Less anxious? More relaxed? The list is huge. Day 4 here I come.
There are lots of kinds of meditation but for now I am only trying to calm down my thoughts and clear my mind. Maybe I will try guided meditation, lets see how it goes.
Until tomorrow,
Did you know that meditation could be this good to you?
